Religion is as religion does.
Judaism taken literally is a horrible religion.
Islam or Christianity sane thing.
But let's be real. Almost no one takes their religion literally.
Christianity for example, advocate for the divine right of kings and rule my monarch.
However what Christian today wants to scrap representative government and install a king? Virtually none.
Religion it's not the religious text. Religion is what ever it is actually practiced as.pointing to the text and saying ah ha doesn't mean anything. People long ago stopped animal sacrifices, and belief in Demons witches and giants and so on. The text is a guide with metaphors not a history book or law book.
