Accounts from British who had fought the Germans. The perspective on the ground was that these people were good people, normal, and wanted what was best for their family. What a pity that Europeans couldn't ally as respectable brothers, most of all refuse to kill each other when prompted by propaganda, but also to stand firm against those who mean to erase Europeans.
