Excerpt looking at the early years of Irish Free State in particular the cultivation of a distinct agarian based Gaelic identity and the start of economic industrialisation.

Nowadays derided by liberals as a naive backward era (dancing at the crossroads etc) it was perhaps the only time in modern history that an Irish ruling state had a strong notion of what its cultural identity was a confidence that fed directly into the economic development of the fledgling state a fact that is lost on current crop of globalist mediocrities.
