Saudi journalist Ahmad Al-Farraj said in a July 24, 2019 interview on Al-Arabiya Network (Saudi Arabia) that it is "politically naïve" to say that U.S. President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson are crazy or unstable, or that there are "impending global dangers" as a result of their administrations. Al-Farraj argued that the U.S. and Britain both have deeply-rooted democratic institutions with systems of checks and balances that make it impossible for somebody crazy or unstable to assume or to remain in power. He said that the American economy is thriving, that the danger of North Korea has subsided, that Iran is under siege, that ISIS has vanished, that terrorist organizations are terrified, and that Islamist political movements have disappeared, and that these are all indications that Trump is not crazy. Al-Farraj added: "If President Trump is crazy and he still managed to achieve all of this, then may all the world leaders be crazy like him and like Boris Johnson."
