From 1940-1943, it was a frequent occurance for the Wehrmacht to broadcast a Christmas Greeting to all fronts to the furthest battlefields in an attempt to connect the soldiers together and to boost morale. The Ringsendung of 1942 was unique due to the sudden request of the soldiers at the black sea for all their fellow soldiers to sing the old German Christmas song "Stille Nacht" together, which was an interesting occurrence indeed. Presented here is a recording of this very transmission, the audio of which was restored and cleaned up by me. I hope you enjoy this little video of mine to all of you, and I wish all of you a Merry Christmas, and sorry for not posting in a long while, School really just ate up a lot of my time these past few months.

Note: It is important to say that the broadcast from Stalingrad could have possibly been faked since they would have been surrounded by the Red Army at this point and they had no way to communicate to the outside. Though, the thing is that their transmitters were still working and they could still receive radio signals, and so it is quite a sight to assume that it's possible that they were shocked to hear this broadcast and to hear a "representative" from their side. Only the past knew what they felt about the fact that it was made to look like that they were fine, when the opposite was the case.
