An American advocacy group has recorded nearly 900 cases of hate and intolerance across the US in the 10 days following Donald Trump's election.
The Southern Poverty Law Center said in a report that the violence was cheered by white supremacists and others fired up by Trump’s rhetoric scorning immigrants, Muslims and women. The report added that many harassers invoked Trump's name during assaults. It said most incidents involved graffiti or verbal harassment. Trump has been strongly criticized for using extreme rhetoric against Muslims and immigrants during the presidential campaign.
