Ireland will be voting in a referendum during May 2018 to see if the Irish people want to allow unrestricted abortion upto 12 weeks. Ireland currently has no legal right to abortions unless for severe medical reasons, however, this is rarely used. If the abortion referendum was limited to abortion for those who had genuine medical reasons, those who had been raped or a child conceived from incest then we would support the change to Irish law. As it is e cannot support unrestricted access to take innocent life when it down to lack of responsibility of the parent.
