72 years ago today on June 6th, Battle of Normandy begins. After the mass indiscriminate carpet bombings all over France, D-Day code named Operation Overlord, commences with the landing of 155,000 Allied troops on the beaches of Normandy. Marking the largest amphibious military operation in history. Starting at the 6th hour, of the 6th day, of the 6th month of 1944.

It would take one year for the Allies to advance the same amount of distance in France despite numerical and air superiority, which Germany initially advanced within a single month in the May of 1940.

With the Allied armies now in Western Europe, they would continue to mass bomb their way to Germany; which had a standing peace offer on the table throughout World War II.

As the Allies were advancing, with the Germans and their allies fighting on three fronts (West, South and East) while outnumbered 10 to 1, the Germans would valiantly resist the Western Capitalists all the way from France to Germany every step of the way.
