BREAKING NEWS: Roger Stone's Prison Sentence to be Lessened per The DOJ, Prosecutors Quit

Four prosecutors on the Roger Stone case abruptly quit today after the Department of Justice asked the federal courts to reduce the sentence initially imposed on Stone.

Roger Stone is a long time ally of President Donald Trump. He was found guilty back in November of 2019 of lying to Congress and obstruction of the Russia investigation in an effort to protect President Trump.

Stone is scheduled for sentencing next week and the Department of Justice asked the sentencing to be reduced. Just 24 hours ago the initial recommendation was 7-9 years with the Department of Justice stating Stone deserved a lengthy prison term.

This afternoon however the Department of Justice back tracked on their recommendation asking for a reduced sentence. The new recommendation comes shortly after a tweet from President Trump stating, “the recommended prison sentence as horrible and very unfair.”

While the Department of Justice stated that their new recommendation was not influenced by President Trump, several of the prosecutors on the case thought differently and decided to resign…
