Our topic this week is following Jesus. Lessons 1 and 2 were about five groups of people who follow Jesus. Lesson 3 was about six ways people follow Jesus.
Today's lesson is The Cost of Following Jesus: Is He Worth It? Are You Willing to Pay the Price?
As a pastor, my concern is that modern church society is far too lax in its view of being a Christian. Jesus said some tough things about following Him. There's no gray area. It's black or white. You are either in with Him all the way or you not. People in the middle are lukewarm. He'll spit them out of his mouth as you would something disgusting.
Today I want you and me to examine some of Jesus' statements about following Him. Let's look at Luke 14:25-33.
