21 SEPTEMBER 2001 - 17 year old Ross Parker was brutally murdered in Peterborough in a racial & religiously motivated attack by a gang of Pakistanis. The Bin-Laden supporters, still revelling in the aftermath of 9/11, decided to go on a “hunting mission and attack a white male simply because he was white”. Ross was sprayed with CS gas, kicked & punched, hit with a hammer then stabbed 3 times in the throat & chest with a foot-long hunting knife. He was then left to bleed to death.
12 men were initially arrested. 4 men where charged with murder and astonishingly released on bail. One of the murderers received a reference from the towns deputy Mayor and a Labour Party councillor describing the killer as ‘caring and responsible’. 3 were found guilty of murder
Ahmed Ali Awan was sentenced to 18 years
Sarfraz Ali was sentenced to 16 years
Shaied Nazir was sentenced to 16 years
