Die letzte Fahrt der U-515 Werner Henke.
Werner Henke unternahm mit U 515 Typ IXC in der Zeit vom 12. August 1942 bis zum 9. April 1944 7 Feindfahrten. Er konnte dabei insgesamt 25 Schiffe mit ca. 155.000 BRT versenken. Darunter befanden sich das Zerstörer-Depotschiff Hecla und die Sloop Canticleer. Ein weiteres Schiff und der Zerstörer Marne wurden beschädigt. Damit gehörte Henke zu den 12 erfolgreichsten U-Boot-Kommandanten der U-Boot-Waffe.

Remember Werner Henke. He took with U 515 Type IXC in the period from August 12, 1942, to April 9, 1944 on 7 patrols. He was able to sink 25 ships with approximately 155,000 tons. Among them, the destroyer depot ship Hecla and the Sloop Canticleer were. Another ship, the destroyer Marne were damaged. This Henke was one of the 12 most successful U-boat commander of the submarine weapon.
