In 2002, at the age of 29 years old, I was hit by an SUV at about 30 miles an hour. The driver hit me in a crosswalk on Melrose Avenue outside of the now-defunct metaphysical book store the Bodhi Tree. He hit me on the left side and the impact hurled me onto his hood. I apparently dented the grill and then rolled off. Somehow the car did NOT roll over my brain I got caught by the rotator cuff and drafted 49 feet into the adjacent crosswalk.
This is part of one of my many stories which were pivotal to making me who i am today.
