The former Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, whose party is part of the government coalition of Prime Minister Giorgi Meloni, today fiercely criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, which immediately caused a reaction from the Prime Minister.

Asked about the meeting between Djordje Meloni and Zelenskiy on Thursday in Brussels, Berlusconi replied that he would never talk to the president of Ukraine.

"Should I talk to Zelensky? If I were the president of the Italian government, I would never go there," said Berlusconi.

According to his words, Zelensky should not have attacked the areas in the east of Ukraine under the control of pro-Russian separatists because then nothing would have happened.

"It was enough for Zelensky to stop attacking the two autonomous republics of Donbass and all this would not have happened. Therefore, I evaluate the behavior of that gentleman very, very negatively," said Berlusconi.
