The footage released by the group, known as Moses’ Staff, came from surveillance cameras belonging to a major Israeli security organization. The Israeli Police said that they had been in possession of the footage since several hours after the attack, which targeted two bus stops near entrances to the city.
“You will pay the price of any spilled bloods… You will not have any peace and welfare in the occupied Palestine territories… We will determine your ending,” Moses’ Staff wrote on its Telegram channel.
The surveillance footage includes the moment of the first explosion near Jerusalem’s Central Bus Station, accompanied by a Hebrew inscription that says “for a long time we had control over all of your activities… step by step, moment by moment.”
The twin bombings were reportedly carried out by near-identical remotely-controlled explosive devices which were packed with nails to maximize casualties and hidden in the bushes behind the bus stops.
Israeli defense officials believe that the attack was carried out by an independent cell made up of several members who knew the terrain well and planned the attack long in advance.
Several Palestinian factions, including the Hamas Movement and the Islamic Jihad, hailed the attack. However, none of them have claimed responsibility, so far.
Moses’ Staff has previously published many threats against Israel. In the past, the hacker group distributed photos that were allegedly taken at Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz’s home and leaked details of Israeli soldiers, documents from Israeli companies and the person information of hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens.
