Larsen Trap

Larsen traps use a live decoy bird, usually a corvid - a magpie or a crow as shown in the clip. In Denmark, where Larsen, the inventor, hails from - his traps have been deemed inhumane and are illegal. Not so in the UK, where if the decoy bird is being "properly fed and watered", there is no breach of the law. Even the RSPB - a conservationist organisation for the protection of birds - toes the line, so it really does depend on what kind of bird you are.
