VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority kicked activists off of a public square for filming the police, claiming it was against the authority rules to be there if you were not riding a bus. When I asked for the rules, VIA sent me a bill for over $100. I complained and called their bluff. I just received FOUR (4) pages of rules responsive to the request—that’s $108 per page. CRAZY!!!

No surprise, there was no rule against filming.

The beginning of this video includes a live tutorial of submitting a real open records request to VIA.
