I’ve created this video to help detail my request that you become a monthly financial supporter of my work. Last year, I spoke at 47 events around the country, for #WalkAway I produced dozens of events around the nation and spoke at them, I wrote, directed, and co-produced 10 Hard Truth educational videos, I spoke at a dozen colleges, I put in 10-18 hour days 7 days a week as the Founder and President of the #WalkAway Foundation and #WalkAway Campaign PAC. I am the employer and manager of almost 10 paid employees and dozens and dozens of volunteers.
All of this I have done without paying myself from #WalkAway.
The reason I have forgone a salary is because I want your donations to go toward building a larger and more robust #WalkAway core team- which means a larger and more robust movement all around! Also, your donations to #WalkAway cover the expenses of our live and video productions as well as administrative fees and costs; such as legal bills, monthly software and hardware costs, travel & hotels, and all events costs.
I have been ok with this arrangement because up until coronavirus I was booking occasional speaking appearances which would pay and supplementing this with your monthly support of my Podia and Patreon accounts. Now my speaking engagements for the year are gone, and my monthly support on these accounts is going down.
I have created options on Podia as low as just 1 dollar a month. If many of you subscribe as a monthly supporter, even one dollar a month will add up! If you’re able to contribute more, it is greatly appreciated!! But at just $1 monthly, or $12 a year, if I can get everyone reading this post or watching this video to sign up- I’ll remain in good shape to keep traveling and creating content and reaching folks all over the country with our #WalkAway mission!
