US Election updates (Dec. 21, 2020)
Electors in all 50 states voted to give Joe Biden 306 votes to Trump's 232 votes. The result will be officially counted by both chambers of Congress on Jan. 6, 2021. But on Dec. 14, Republicans in key states such as Pennsylvania, Nevada, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, and Wisconsin said they voted for President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence using their slates of electors.
Biden made no mention of the dueling electors in his speech. He called on President Donald Trump to concede the race and disputed that the election was tainted by fraud.
On Monday morning, a judge approved the release of a forensic audit of the Dominion machines from Antrim County, Michigan. The report is written by Russell Ramsland, a former Reagan White House official who has worked for NASA and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
According to the report, both the ballot-adjudication logs and the security logs for the Nov. 3 general election appear to have been removed; logs for prior elections are still present on the machines.
The Federal Election Commission allows for an error rate of 0.0008 percent, according to Ramsland. The machines his team examined in Antrim County had an error rate of 68.05 percent, the report states.
Another important thing is that William Barr is stepping down as attorney general “before Christmas,” President Donald Trump wrote in a Twitter post on Dec. 14.
Attorney wrote in a Twitter that “Bill Barr is a Patriot. His letter to Trump was excellent.”
