《歌唱祖国》，由王莘作曲及填词，為中华人民共和国著名的爱国歌曲之一，被誉为中华人民共和国的“第二国歌”。
歌曲创作于1950年9月，作者当时在北京深受国庆节日气氛的感染而产生了创作的冲动，随后在返回天津的列车上写作初稿。歌词首句“五星红旗迎风飘扬”即来自作者对中华人民共和国开国大典的印象。
王莘在《歌唱祖国》发表前曾經征求各方面的意见，将词曲交由天津市音乐工作团排练演唱，并且亲自到訪南开大学、天津炼钢厂、天津纺织厂和天津铁路机务段教授演唱。根据诗人艾青提出的建议，王莘对歌词作出修改：将原來的“五千年文化辉煌灿烂”更改成为“独立自由是我们的理想”；将原來的“我们战胜了一切苦难，我们把敌人赶出边疆”更改成为“我们战胜了多少苦难，才得到今天的解放”。
歌曲于1951年9月15日发表在《人民日报》上。1951年10月，在全国政协会议上，毛泽东评价此首歌曲好，特地送予作者一套刚出版的《毛泽东选集》，并且为其签署。

"Ode to the Motherland" (simplified Chinese: 歌唱祖国; traditional Chinese: 歌唱祖國; pinyin: Gēchàng Zǔguǒ) is a famous patriotic song of the People's Republic of China, written and music composed by Wang Xin (Chinese: 王莘; pinyin: Wáng Xīn) (October 1918–October 15, 2007) during the period immediately after the founding of the People's Republic of China (1949–1951). It is sometimes honoured as "the second national anthem" of the PRC.
It is the opening music of the radio programs News and newspapers Summary (新闻和报纸摘要) and National Network News (全国新闻联播) of China National Radio. Also, it is the closing music of China Business Radio (经济之声).

Das Loblied auf das Vaterland (Gechang zuguo) ist ein berühmtes patriotisches Lied in der Volksrepublik China. Text und Musik wurden von Wang Shen (1918–2007) in der Zeit unmittelbar nach Gründung der Volksrepublik geschrieben. Es wird manchmal als die zweite Nationalhymne Chinas bezeichnet.
