This was recorded in February 2020! Below is part of the draft letter written by the ONLY person in my life that COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDS my life! I love her to death but it’s gotten to be A Risk to her overall Health and Life in General 😔. Therefore we have no choice but to Distance ourselves for Her overall Safety! I have also distanced from my entire family as I am DETERMINED to get JUSTICE come Life or Death! It’s a PERSONAL DECISION and I am not going to put my loved ones life in Jeopardy anymore than this battle has already!

Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Xxxxx, daughter of XxxXxxxand the late Xxxxx of Dalhousie NB. I am a full time Resource Nurse at the Addiction Services in Campbellton since 2014, and beforehand, I worked 7 years in acute psychiatry at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. I am passionate about my work and truly understand mental health! The reason I am requesting help from you is in regards to my spouse. He has been treated unlawfully and this is costing him his life! Back in July 2007, at the age of 25, he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma cancer. He was working at the time, went off sick to receive treatment and was told he would be able to come back to his position after treatment. He is a Mechanical Engineer. During his treatment, the harassment began for him to return to work by both Human Resources and Manulife! He consulted with his Doctor, who strongly disagreed to this and soon approaching after being off 2 years, he was forced back to work by Manulife Insurance. After a 2year period of being off sick, you are no longer assured your job. At the 2year mark, he did return to work, did not feel strong, but was fearful of loosing his job. Upon his return, someone else had assumed his position, but no one was filling him in on the things that he had missed over the last 2 years. They took the person who was filling his duties and relocated him to another position, meanwhile he was not being assigned any work and was trying to ask for task, but everyone seemed to be giving him the run around. The day that he returned, he felt he was not ready to fulfill his position. He gave it a shot, but like he was advised, he could return on a gradual basis. He consulted his Boss about his mental capabilities which was dismissed and the Boss told him to consult Human Resources. Human Resources told him he had to take it up with his Insurance. He consulted his Insurance, who they just redirected him to Human Resources….was getting called to the office 4-6 times a day, was getting written up, was accused of smoking marijuana on the premises by “he said”, but no one ever saw, no one questioned his meds (Rx of marijuana as we see often for cancer patients…father got a lawyer, case was appealed on multiple occasions as “lack of info” and finally his parents gave up as the lawyer redirected them to Human Rights! As you can imagine, following this experience, it has been a downward spiral!!
In trying to find work, at the same time battling with depression as his cancer treatment had whipped out his natural ability to produce Serotonin, it had crushed his testosterone levels and weakened his muscle mass, he convinced himself to drive across our country in 2011 to fill his needs of employment. During his travels, he encountered a crippling bump in the road, which is now costing him his self worth, his independence, his self confidence and his reason of being! After circling around in Sault-St. Marie, trying to find his hotel, he stopped at a local pub for supper. In doing so, he made a U-turn to the pub and someone signaled the police. He proceeded to have supper and a few beers, a local pulled up along side him to strike up conversation, chatted with him, bought him a beer and in the state that he was, being depressed, he opened up and talked 3 hours with this person. Not long after, he left to go to his car, sat in it and when he went to put his keys in the ignition police showed up, pulled him out of his vehicle and cuffed him, bringing him to police station.
