Following Naomi Wolf's correction of Australian Energy Minister Angus Taylor's inaccurate statement in his maiden speech to Parliament that Wolf lived down the hall from him in 1991 in Oxford among graduate students who campaigned against Christmas, and her correction of a Financial Review article about Taylor that falsely stated that Wolf herself had campaigned against Christmas trees in 1991, and that Taylor, "a Christian", had led a successful counter-rebellion, the Minister demanded an apology from Wolf for her having stated that this inaccurate narrative of an alleged "war on Christmas" was an "anti-Semitic dogwhistle." Multiple members of Parliament watched Taylor's demand for an apology from Wolf with a combination of reactions.
