It seems white people think they are showing how non-racist they are by acknowledging their "white privilege." What they fail to recognize is that everything about the ideology is racist - the racism is against themselves, against white people.
I think all people who get behind the white privilege messaging, simply want to express their deep gratitude for the blessings in their life. Do express your gratitude, I simply caution you from using "privilege" type phrasing in those statements! Equally importantly, work hard to fight for all people, of all colours. Standing up against injustice and inequality, standing in solidarity with every race on this planet, can be done without feeling guilt or shame for being white.
