Human rights organizations have criticized what they call the hypocritical presence of some world leaders in the mass rally held in Paris, France.
Reporters without Borders says it's outraged by the presence of officials from countries that restrict freedom of speech. It particularly pointed to Egypt, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates as countries that support free speech in France, but stifle freedom of expression at home. French media also pointed to the controversial presence of some guests such as Saudi Arabian officials and Israel's economy minister Naftali Bennett in the anti-terror march, highlighting the Saudi crackdown on dissent and Israel's killing of Palestinians.
