Here I call Hennepin Healthcare to try to find out what supposedly happened during the last hour of George Floyd's life. If you look at the autopsy report, there are some 'interventions'. Did they occur in the ambulance? According to the Star Tribune "George Floyd showed no signs of life from time EMS arrived, fire department report said. So then was he DOA? The incident report does not state this.

Why didn't they do CPR on the site you may ask? Well, they have their reasons. And I don't think they are any good. Maybe you disagree.

"The decision to “load and go,” rather than triage at the scene, was likely based on their race against the clock, Scheerer said. Unloading all the equipment can often take much longer than treating a patient from inside the ambulance.

When pressed about a potential duty to intervene if a patient is endangered on a call, Scheerer surmised that, in this case, responders were unaware of how severe the situation had become."

Isn't it their job to assess how severe a situation has become?

“I don’t think the paramedics knew what was going on. They just saw a split second of what was happening,” he said in reference to Chauvin’s prolonged knee restraint on Floyd’s neck. “Ultimately, if the police have somebody in custody, we have to get permission from them to work with on the patient.”

So then the answer should be easy. All of these medical interventions were done in the ambulance and he was DOA. But again the autopsy report doesn't say this. Please correct me if I am wrong.

The Race Against the Clock. Nice touch STar Tribune. A racial war within days. Good job.

The press woman says no one has asked her this question. Is this not a valid question? They say they worked on the body for 90 minutes? That's not possible. He was pronounced dead an hour later.

Floyd’s official time of death was recorded at 9:25 p.m.

From one of the Hennepin County press releases:

Manner of death classification is a statutory function of the medical examiner, as part of death certification for purposes of vital statistics and public health. Manner of death is not a legal determination of culpability or intent, and should not be used to usurp the judicial process. Such decisions are outside the scope of the Medical Examiner’s role or authority. Under Minnesota state law, the Medical Examiner is a neutral and independent office and is separate and distinct from any prosecutorial authority or law enforcement agency.
