A man urinated on the floor of a fast food restaurant in Port Alberni on Saturday night, allegedly because he refused to wear a mask.
An onlooker captured the outburst at the Dairy Queen, and posted the video online.
Port Alberni RCMP say the incident began after he was denied service for refusing to wear a mask and left the store, returning to drop his pants and pee in protest.
“Staff there got into a heated discussion with him and he was asked to leave. He became verbally aggressive and abusive. He left the restaurant only to return shortly there after, and urinated at the counter,” RCMP said.
Masks have been mandatory in British Columbia since Aug. 25, prompting some backlash from anti-maskers. But it’s the first time anything like this has happened, according to Sgt. Chris Manseau.
“His actions are being investigated as an indecent act, as it appears that he willfully performed this act with the intent to insult or offend in a public place,” Manseau said.
The Port Alberni RCMP has released a photo of the suspect in hopes of identifying him.
