The scientific community has never reached a consensus on this: "global warming caused by human emissions of greenhouse gases will lead to a dangerous climate catastrophe". Climate scientists who express uncertainty or some degree of doubt in the climate debate are categorized as 'deniers' or 'merchants of doubt'.

2:12 Climate scientists who express uncertainty or some degree of doubt in the climate debate are categorized as 'deniers' or 'merchants of doubt'. This pressure comes not only from politicians, but from federal funding agencies, universities and scientists themselves who are green activists and advocates.
