LA DA's Husband Pulls Gun On Black Lives Matter Protesters

Los Angeles County District Attorney, Jackie Lacey apologized publicly on Monday for her husband aiming a gun at protesters who gathered outside of their home.

Just before dawn on Monday morning a group of protesters set up shop outside of the Lacey’s home. They have made multiple attempts to meet with the district attorney and have been meant with refusal.

Protesters rang the Lacey’s doorbell in an attempt to get the district attorney to come out there and meet with them. David Lacey opened the door armed with a gun and threatened to shoot protesters if they did not get off his porch.

Melina Abdullah, a Black Lives Matter Organizer said that they rang the doorbell to meet with Jackie Lacey

“Her husband met us at the door with a gun. We heard him cock it, he pointed the gun as he opened the door and then when he saw me, he pointed the gun directly at my chest.”

Police were then called to the Lacey’s home and no arrest were made

Jackie Lacey has been accused by Black Lives Matter protesters of being too protective of law enforcement and not prosecuting police who kill susepcts.

Lacey apologized for her husband’s behavior at a news conference. She explained that she has been receiving death threats and confronted in public and that her husband was acting out of fear

“I too am sorry if anybody as harmed. It’s never my intent to harm any protester. I just want to live in peace and do my job.”
