President Xi has taken one step closer to becoming the Emperor of China
VERO BEACH, FL (TruNews) On Sunday evening, China's state-controlled media reported that the Communist Party's Central Committee has recommended a number of constitutional amendments, among which includes a provision to end presidential term limits.
Under the current Constitution, the President of the People's Republic of China can serve no more than two consecutive terms, which places President Xi Jinping out of power in 2023.
But with the change, President Xi could legally continue his rule, one which has been compared in significance to that of China’s “Founding Father” Mao Zedong.
In addition to the term limit amendment, the Communist Party has also formally engrained President Xi's political theories, of a New Era of Chinese Socialism amid globalism and the 4th industrial revolution, into the Constitution.
First previewed at the 19th National Congress in 2017, President Xi’s ideology and vision for the future now read alongside Chairman Mao and his successor DUNG- SHAOW PING, China’s infamous leader during the June Fourth Massacre in Tiananmen Square.
Lastly, the Communist Party has proposed an amendment for the “reunification of the motherland”, effectively making the annexation of Taiwan part of the nation’s legal authority.
This amendment would continue the consolidation of power President Xi has pursued since 2013, and officially call for greater political influence in the rest of the world as China continues its development of the New Silk Road under the “One Belt One Road” Initiative.
Though the language included directly criticizes other nations like the United States for engaging in hegemony and colonialism, “what is good for the goose is not good for the Tiger”, as domestic outcry against the amendments were harshly snuffed out by China’s robust intelligence apparatus, who reportedly removed all criticism of the changes from the nation’s government-controlled social media platforms.
