New South African President Proposes Forced Redistribution of White Owned Land

We can move forward knowing that we have addressed the original sin of land dispossession.

In what can only be described as a reversed version of apartheid era racism, South Africa’s new President Cyril Ramaphosa has called for the land of White African farmers to be forcibly seized and redistributed to Black citizens.

Speaking to South Africa’s Parliament in his first formal address as President, Mr. Ramaphosa claimed the forced redistribution of land is a necessary step to remedy racial injustice in the country, and that it would neither damage the economy, nor the overall food production of his nation.

President Ramaphosa’s proposal is identical to the racially motivated policy enacted in roughly 20 years ago in Zimbabwe under President Robert Mugabe.

The end result transformed what was known as the breadbasket of southern Africa, due to their major food exports, into a failed starving state, reliant on handouts from the United Nations’ World Food Program, and defined globally by their historic hyperinflation and a multi-decade depression.

President Ramaphosa’s announcement has another distinct irony, it was delivered from Cape Town, a coastal city in South Africa which is facing the real possibility of becoming the world’s first metropolis to run out of usable drinking water.

The water in Cape Town is controlled, managed and distributed by the government.
