This is a clip of the Impeach Obama Overpass protest organized by Stop Obama Now - San Diego on the occasion of his visit to Camp Pendleton on August 7, 2013. Stop Obama Now, did the original Impeach Obama protest in Carlsbad that inspired the overpasses movement. We are an independent activist group, not part of OFOI.
Obama took a helicopter to the Marine Base. So, we were not able to see him, but wanted to demo against him, while he was in the local news and while that was a lot of public attention on his visit. This Overpass is near the main gate.
Someone called 911 and complained about our demo against the Dear Leader. The Oceanside police threatened to order the signs taken down, if they received more complaints.
Caltrans also came by and told us to remove the signs. We ignored them and nothing happened.
