The Army Comrades Association, later the National Guard, then Young Ireland and finally League of Youth, but best known by the nickname "the Blueshirts", was a paramilitary organisation active in the Irish Free State, which then helped to form today's Fine Gael, a liberal-conservative and Christian-democratic political party in Ireland.

It was leaded by General Eoin O'Duffy, which remodeled the party to fit the F4sc1st aestethics, and attended the 1934 F4sc1st International Conference in Montreux. They helped the nationalist side of the Spanish Civil war as an act of Catholic solidarity, after the Civil war, he wrote a book, "Crusade in Spain", about the Irish Brigade in Spain, during the second world war, O'Duffy offered to Germany the prospect of raising an Irish Brigade to fight against the Soviet Union on the Eastern Front as a wish to "save Europe from Bolshevism", but this was not taken up; and almost seized power on a 'March on Dublin', which never happened. By this time O'Duffy had developed a serious drinking problem and his health had begun to seriously deteriorate; he died on 30 November 1944, aged 54. He received a state funeral. Following Requiem Mass in St Mary's Pro-Cathedral, he was buried in Glasnevin Cemetery.

▪Lyrics:

March on! March Strong!
Honor and Liberty Call.
Sounds of the free,
Our duty be To fight for freedom for all!

Tyrants and foes, beware!
Our souls are in the air!
So shoulders together,
Forwards forever!

For triumph, we march for square!
