The origin of "Margaritas" can be found in the last Carlist war. It owes its name to the wife of Carlos VII, Dona Margarita de Borbón y de Borbón, called the Angel of Charity for her health work in field hospitals, mainly in the monastery of Irache, near Montejurra (The Sacred Mountain of Tradition).

In the spanish Civil War of 1936, the Margaritas were one of the main mobilizing agents of national society, highlighting the framing and social mobilization of the rear, exercising the family's tutelary work, which Carlism understands to correspond to women. At the same time, it spreads a female model in opposition to Liberal, Republican and also left-wing societies.

The Margaritas take their activities to the first line of the front, and Hospitals, supporting the combatant's morale and affective state of mind. The missions at the front had the task of distributing letters, food baskets and clothes, demonstrating that women in Carlism are what Carlism advocates: "Faithful guardian of family traditions and valuer of family integrity".

▪Lyrics:

Margaritas de España, cantemos,
nuestro himno de amor y de Fe,
nuestras Santas Banderas, alcemos,

Corazón de mujer Española;
