John Renison is a Mexican citizen campaigning in 2018 for the U.S. Congress as a Republican. He was even endorsed by the San Diego Republican Central Committee. He grew up in Mexicali (Mexico) and identifies with Mexico as his "homeland." He tried unsuccessfully to start a political career in Mexico and then jumped the border to run for Congress.
