Some of the caravaners had jumped the fence before I got there. The gate to the site was closed and we had to walk over a mile to the protest site at Friendship Park. I saw these two guys cross the road, flagged down a couple of Border Patrol Agents and they were caught. So, I had the honor of helping the Border Patrol to catch two of the first caravaners to cross over illegally.
These guys were federal agents of some kind, maybe Border Patrol. I didn’t see any military there. A couple of people said some military was there, but I think they may have mistaken federal agents in camouflage for military.
This is the fence on the beach between Imperial Beach south of San Diego and the Las Playas neighborhood of Tijuana. There is a roll razor wire that they are getting ready to put on the top of the fence.
